Hotline Dial: Asterisk detect when off-hook the the analog phone but not auto dial

Hi,

I have an analog phone which connected to an FXS Digium card.
Follow the tutorial of Hotline Dial, I can see the Asterisk detect off-hook action from the analog phone through Asterisk CLI.
But then nothing happens.

I’m using FreePBX 14 (SNG7-PBX-64bit-1805-1).

Not sure if I missing something or the analog phone is not supportable.

Please help.

IIRC, the tutorial assumes your hotline phone is going to dial. If you don’t have a dialer or want to override the dialer, you should use a custom context to send to call to some other destination. For example, I set up emergency phones in waiting rooms that are tied to a custom context that just dials a ring group, which then answers the phone.

@cynjut is correct. We have a door phone intercom thing… we built a custom context so it would dial the operator group when the button was pushed.
