My users are used to the ‘old’ pbx… when they placed someone on hold… they got
silence on their end of the call. They might put someone on hold to look up their user
info from our database or run a web page query to check something… they don’t want a
dial tone to be running in their headset while the user is on old…
We have SNOM phones if that matters… is there a way to get silence for the local user
when putting someone on hold?
