Hi need to block an extension from making outbound calls can we do with using outbound routes

hi we need to block an extension from making outbound calls i tried to using the route cid as the extension name but from then all other extnesions stopped working any suggestions

I haven’t done this, but you could try setting up an outbound route that doesn’t go anywhere “real” and then use the dial pattern to send only the one extension on that route.

You’d have to put them into a special context that doesn’t connect to the outbound routes. I haven’t done it in years and when I did it, I ended up coding a special context. The new FreePBX code probably makes it easier - check out “custom contexts” and see if you can find a method,

The Extension Routing or also Class of Service modules will let you do this.
