Help with the settings to Record a Call Answered by Agent? NO HOLD MUSIC!

Using FreePBX 12 and I have tried different combinations with the QUEUE & EXTENSIONS settings:

For disk space purposes I only want to record when agent answers and not record hold time with music. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

That is no possible at this time.

For disk space purposes, use ‘sox’ and transcode your recordings overnight to single-channel 8Mhz mp3 files. You can also do this in the advanced settings on your SIP registrations (somewhere), but I recommend doing it after business hours to save your CPU power.

I am using Asternic Call Stats now so what I have been doing is using LAME MP3 converter to convert the .WAV call recordings in var/spool/asterisk/monitor to .mp3 files when moved to the Asternic side of things. The next morning I just go in and delete the .WAV files in var/spool/asterisk/monitor and that seems to be working. :sunglasses:
