Help diagnosing none connecting calls

I am having issues with calls not connecting on my outbound SIP trunk I have reviewed CDR logs and so far I can spot no patterns, it happens on all extensions etc.

I need to try to work out a way to diagnose the issue and have been reviewing the CDR for information. I have spotted that a failed call does not seem to use the ‘Dial’ app and wondered if this was an issue?

First of all, is this difference normal?

Secondly, what other logs etc might I be able to use to diagnose issues with bad calls?

Looking at CDRs to diagnose bad calls is not a good idea. You should be looking at the Asterisk log files. Usually in /var/log/asterisk/full
