Having issues with a specific recording in a specific IVR

I cannot get a specifc IVR to work.

I have recreated it, and recreated the recording, but to no avail it will not play the recording when entering the IVR, while the menu selections work fine.

The odd part is when I use a different recording, one created the exact same way, it works fine.

Any suggestions? Please …

There is a very specific format that all recordings ned to be in to work. If you are not matching the specification exactly it will not work.

From the recording module page: “if you’re using .wav, (eg, recorded with Microsoft Recorder) the file must be PCM Encoded, 16 Bits, at 8000Hz:” What is does not say is that it also needs to be Mono, not stereo. So double check the recording to see that it matches these settings.

I actually figured out the issue right after I posted. It was not the format of the file that was an issue, it was the format of the name. When I renamed the file, all lower case, and then reuploaded the file. It worked like a charm.
