Great VOIP router

I have done some extensive research and yet have come across a definite answer.

I’m looking to find out two things

  1. A great VOIP router which the PBX server will sit behind and also play nicely with remote extensions.

  2. A consumer grade router that people will use at their house and will have remote extensions.

Your request doesn’t seem like you need anything complicated. On the PBX side you just need something reliable that does basic NAT (port forwarding & port range forwarding) and QoS which just about any consumer router should be able to handle. I’m just using a cheap Trendnet router with DD-WRT firmware.

On the remote extensions, you don’t even need NAT, I just recommend it has QoS so that the sound quality is ok if they’re downloading at the same time, but it’s not necessary.
