I pulled a huge mistake when I was working on a setup. I plugged a GXP2140 into the wrong outlet (overpowered) and I heard a pop. I am fairly sure I fried something inside. Any ideas on what I could do to fix the phone. Otherwise I am out $100.
If you really plugged the wrong adapter on the phone, and you actually heard the pop and maybe saw smoke or smelled the characteristic smell of brunt electronics, you probably burned it, especially if the power adapter was rated for more voltage. Not much you can do, unless you have electronics background and can identify and replace whatever component that was damaged on the phone’s printed circuit board.
