On my Grandstream gxp2130 I can use the built-in softkeys to turn on/off call forwarding and a little icon appears on the screen indicating the on/off status.
When using the Asterisk feature code dialed directly (*72), forwarding extension entered, and set - the little icon doesn’t appear on the phone.
I’m guessing the softkeys do something unique to the phone that directly dialing the feature code doesn’t.
Besides directing staff to use the softkeys are there other solutions that make that icon appear on the phone’s display?
