Google Voice for Outbound Calls (via pyGoogleVoice)?

Hi all!

I’ve read that GV is dropping support for XMPP but pyGoogleVoice will continue. I’m trying to figure out how to use it with freePBX/Asterisk.

For incoming calls, I already have a DID number that forwards to an account at CallCentric.com. My GV number forwards all incoming calls to that number. I just need to enable outgoing calls.

I’ve been searching everything I can but soooo much of it seems outdated and I don’t know what I can trust.

Can someone advise me?

I dont think anyone is going to try and fight to get GV setup. Google has made it clear they only want GV as part of hangouts.
