Google Talk & Jabber Encryption Failure

Greetings!

I have a relatively fresh Purple install, framework 2.9.07, core 2.9.01, asterisk api 2.9.03.

I have attempted to create a Google Voice trunk using the inbuilt “Marcus Brown” plugin. This all goes well until I try to make an outbound call, which hangs then rings infinitely. The log shows the following errors:

==
[2011-08-15 10:11:54] ERROR[20769] res_jabber.c: JABBER: encryption failure. possible bad password.
[2011-08-15 10:11:54] ERROR[20769] res_jabber.c: aji_act_hook was called with out a packet
[2011-08-15 10:11:54] WARNING[20769] res_jabber.c: Parsing failure: Hook returned an error.
[2011-08-15 10:11:54] WARNING[20769] res_jabber.c: JABBER: Got hook event.
[2011-08-15 10:11:54] WARNING[20769] res_jabber.c: JABBER: socket read error

This error occurred on a freshly installed image, and has persisted through any upgrades. I have read reports of this error but no real solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Solved my own problem, the issue was crappy documentation that does not clearly specify to leave the "@gmail.com" out of the login when using the Google Voice plugin. Hopefully that helps someone else.
