Fresh install

Trying to install free pbx
Having just a few issues
$ echo $BASH_VERSION
4.3.39(3)-release

Brand new to git-hub and not sure how to get the distro package into the respiratory as well as prettty sure it needs to be in the sbin/ currently Patron@Patron5 ~/Document/GitHub/Firefox (Master)
$git version 2.7.4.windows.1
Just a little lost here My prior experience is with centos 6
Freepbx distro.
Ive never had to install this way and looking for some help retrieving a few utilities such as yum or wget to speed up the process

Very new to bash like 1-2 hours of experience
This is a windows 10 64 bit

I’m sad to say you’re not going to be having much fun trying to get Asterisk to compile under Windows.

You probably want this, instead 8)

I agree with @xrobau.

If you’ve got lots of time and unlimited patience, I’m sure you’ll eventually get it compiled.

If, on the other hand, you want to start using the system, starting with a distribution is an excellent idea, Rob’s suggestion of FreePBX is an excellent choice (if, for no other reason, you are on the FreePBX forums) but there are other Asterisk implementations out there.

If you decide FreePBX works for you, stop back by and let us know how the search went.
