Freepbx SMS as replacement for Zipwhip?

Have situation where Zipwhip is being used to send SMS to small groups of reciepents from an owned DID, about 65 (though most often in the 25-30 range).

Can the SMS function in Freepbx do this, send texts to defined groups of recipients? I’m not seeing anything about this in the docs.
