Freepbx - ntpd?

Using distro 5.211.65-6…

  1. Before I go and manually set up ntpd, does freepbx somehow control ntp through a module or anything like that?

  2. My phones are polycom 650’s, aastra 6731i’s… and were provisioned by the OSS endpoint manager. They are an hour off after daylight saving time took effect. The time on my server is correct (minus a couple of minutes that ntp will fix)… how is the time displayed on the phones controlled?

No we do not touch that service.

Do you have a time server (and time zone) set up in the Advanced Settings of the OSS Endpoint?

Timezones in OSS Endpoint Manager were never perfect and were always off during daylight savings times, I worked on it extensively and every time I though I had a fix dst would come around again and someone would say it was broken.

In my experience, and specifically with the Polycoms, the OOS EPM always set tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.enable=“0” and I had to manually set it to tcpIpApp.sntp.daylightSavings.enable=“1” in sip.cfg to get DST to take
