FreePBX, Google Voice, cisco IP Phone

i have not really gotten anywhere. i had to put the project on hold, but i am looking to start back up.

i had one member on here PM me and remote into my system to try to get it working with his knowledge and config files, but we (mainly he) got stuck and we could not proceed.

the main problem is that i dont know what i am doing.

then the next part is troubleshooting. i dont know linux that well and having to read up on how to run certain commands and not get the output i need doesnt really help me or anyone trying to help me.

I didn’t see your question earlier sorry.

It’s not a shell command, it’s from the asterisk cli

‘asterisk -r’

the r is for Remote, that command connects to the Asterisk process and allows you to execute commands on it.

i decided to load the latest freepbx as a virtual machine and it appears that the new endpoint manager is now $25.00.

i am not sure if it is worth trying to get these phones to work (on my old freepbx install). if that machine dies and i couldn’t get the same freepbx distro installed, i no longer have the endpoint manager.

then again, i wasn’t having much luck with the free version, so i guess it doesn’t really matter.
