Just looking at how the 5.x based Centos releases are all being dropped and going to the better 64bit 6.x branch. How can I safely modify the current servers running the 5.x branch over to the newer current stable branches?
Currently running -> FreePBX Distro 1.8xx.210.58 Releases-END OF LIFE RELEASE
There currently is not a script or release path to move from Centos 5 to 6, as much of the plumbing has been reworked. However Schmooze has put together a solution we use internally for our commercial product, Tony posted a thread about a week ago asking if anyone was interested in a solution for the Distro, I haven’t seen any responses as of yet.
Thanks Preston, I posted something on there.
On a side note, if we have a 5.x branch box and back it up with the backup app, can we restore onto a 6.x box without issue?
