FreePBX Backups to FTP not working but show successful

I’ve tried several FTP servers as a backup destination and every time I run a backup it shows successful but nothing is on the FTP server.

Anyone else run into this issue?

You are running an out of date backup module. Please ensure you update all your backup module.

I did a lot of work on error logging, but I may have missed that in the latest build, as I didn’t check ftp. Can you try it again when you’ve updated please?

Currently at 10.211.65-8 and trying to upgrade to 10.211.65-100

Update has been showing Upgrade in Progress for well over an hour now… Nothing is happening

Maybe I can type a command from CLI to do the update?

Sadly, this is a bit of an ongoing problem. I have, literally, spent the last week rewriting a bunch of stuff to stop these lockups from happening (they’re published in 13, still doing testing in 12 backports).

I would suggest you run the script manually from the command line:

curl https://upgrades.freepbxdistro.org/stable/6.12.65/upgrade-5.211.65-to-6.12.65-20.sh | bash

This will upgrade you machine to FreePBX 12. Note that that will cause an outage, and will take some time to run.

You can check what the script was doing before it crashed in /var/tmp/some version number

Hi Rob, thanks for shedding some light on this issue. We are running PBXact for this unit. Can you tell me what the correct upgrade command would be for PBXact please?

It’s still showing upgrade in progress even after a reboot.

Thanks
