FreePBX as a Gatekeeper

Hello PBX Gurus,

We have a customer with over 50 locations and are going to be deploying PBXs and ip phones throughout. To manage all the inter-site dialing via sip trunks, it makes sense to set up a gatekeeper to manage all the routes.

My question is, is the FreePBX the best option for this scenario?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

No, you need a sip proxy (or two :wink: ), asterisk is a b2bua , I would look into dsiprouter, a friendly front end to kamailio
