FreePBX and SPA942 Phone

New to freePBX and SPA942 Phone. I have changed an extension name to a new user that just joined the company. System displays the extension and persons name. My Linksys SPA942 phone still displays the original employee name in the display. Is the name stored in the phone or does the phone get it from the system. How do I change it from old name to the new name?

The name is stored on the phone itself unless you used configuration files on the server to provision the phones (like the trixbox endpoint manager would create). If you manually setup the phones, then go to the admin interface on the phone’s web GUI.
