The current Stable release is 3.211 and beta is 4.211. However, I cannot seem to find an Admin / User guide for the product anywhere. The online documentation I found seems to be old and not in sync with the current release (http://www.freepbx.org/book/export/html/31).
Is there a PDF guide that can be downloaded/printed for installation, configuration and administration?
An example of the outdated info:
“IMPORTANT NOTE: These instructions were written with FreePBX 2.9 in mind. FreePBX 2.10 has been released since these instructions were written, and involves a major overhaul of the user interface. The modules were grouped together on the left hand side of the screen in 2.9. In 2.10, they are accessed from a series of pull-down menus at the top of the screen. What is written below should work just fine with 2.10 once you are able to locate the appropriate module on the pull-down menus.”
I was looking for an end-to-end guide that walks through all the way from installation to setup, etc.
The one link I found which seems to be a comprehensive guide is at this link: “http://www.freepbx.org/book/export/html/31”.
This, however, seems to be out-of-date. Is there a similar document/PDF which corresponds to the latest stable release?
An example would be something similar to the 3cx Admin guide (hthttp://www.3cx.com/manual/3CXPhoneSystemManual11.pdf)
There are several links to the new wiki on this page or you can browse to http://wiki.freepbx.org
Thank you for your post. I have been to the site and have looked around. Its currently a mish-mash of info nuggets, but not a formal Admin/User guide, like there was for 2.211.
What do you mean a admin guide like 2.211 had please give me an example?
Thank you! appreciate it.
