I’m running Freepbx and i’ve got a Grandstream HT814 ATA in which i’ve got a fax machine plugged in. The phone on the fax machine can make/receive calls just fine, it’s got it’s own DID coming in from the outside, and all is well. when i send a fax to it, however, it says “receiving fax”, but it never comes through. is there additional configurating i need to do besides passing the calls directly to the machine? is FreePBX 14 supposed to support passing faxes? need to know if i’m missing something…
If you call the ATA manually, does the fax machine see the call?
i can call local phones from the fax machine, as well as call the fax machine from local phones.
i can call external numbers (like my cell) from the fax machine, as well as call the fax machine from my cell.
and when i call the fax machine from my cell or local extention, i get the beep/bop/beep that’s typical of fax machines.
