FreePBX 13 Upgrades Hung and Forgotten

I guess for a TL;DR

My updates on FreePBX 13 servers have failed. How can I drop into fwconsole and get my system updated…

So, I am coming back to 3 customer installations of FreePBX 13, because I am hearing how much easier and better FreePBX 14 is with updates and security, and I am looking to upgrade them all.

Each of them is tattered in some way by failed updates. I am trying to figure out if I can do something from fwconsole to get them in shape to be upgraded to FreePBX 14 with Asterisk 15, which I have been reading the documentation on.

These screen shots are one example of what I have going in…

Previous upgrades all still think they are “in progress”

When I click “View Log” it shows the last time an update completed successfully…

I dont know where I should start to get this cleaned up for FreePBX 14 upgrades.

Hi

You have to Unlock sysadmin updates, if it’s stuck in locked state something borked before it finished the last update.
system_update_system -unlock
/usr/sbin/sysadmin_update_system -unlock
Best

Thanks, that worked! Would you recommend I run updates from sys admin gui or something from command line to update the system?

System upgrade i recommended you form GUI.
Best.

Started update from Sys Admin in GUI again and for about 20 mins its been hung on Starting Stage 1…

Update currently in progress! Please wait until complete.
