Hi,
Is FreePBX FOP Framework supported in FreePBX 12?
Thank you.
Hi,
Is FreePBX FOP Framework supported in FreePBX 12?
Thank you.
FOP is an independent project not managed by FreePBX
We have built in support for iSymphony which we feel is a superior product.
If you are asking about the original FOP that has not been supported in FreePBX for years.
Excited!
I can not wait for direct transfer to parking lots.
Yep. I am happily running the very original FOP in FreePBX 2.11.0.38 and was just wondering will I be able to continue using it if I go to 12.
Can I test iSymphony side by side with the original FOP in FreePBX 2.11.0.38 before I commit to 12?
BTW, I looked up iSymphony. It is an overkill for a home user like myself.
When will FreePBX 12 RC be available in the distro?
When I go to: http://schmoozecom.com/distro-download.php I don’t see a stable 12 distro, only the beta…?
RC is “Release candidate”, this is a level of BETA. There is no “stable” 12 build.
My bad, any ideas on when the stable/rtm build will be released?
I’d also like to know the milestone date for 12 to enter stable status.
It will be before or during Astricon 2014.
cool, installed rc1 - how do i upgrade to Asterisk 12?

I had a disappointing time upgrading to this release. I was running 1.8xx.210.57 and that wasn’t patched for shellshock, so I figured it would be time for an upgrade. I followed the instructions here wiki.freepbx.org/display/FD/Upgrade+from+FreePBX-Distro-1.8xx.210.58+to+FreePBX-Distro-2.210.62 which totally didn’t work as I was going from 32bit to 64 bit and the module path changes to /usr/lib64/asterisk also the pjsip running by default meant that all my chan_sip extension configurations didn’t do anything until I moved pjsip out of the way. I have it running now, and I will look into enabling pjsip at some point, but the upgrade was quite a long way from “just works”
@alanbell upgrading to FreePBX 12, does not require an upgrade to Asterisk 12, if that is what you did here.
