FPBX 2.11RC1 with Asterisk 11.3.0, confbridge bombing after pin

Hi all,

I had conferences working with confbridge (on FPBX2.10 with Asterisk 1.8), and after upgrading both FreePBX and Asterisk, I find everything in good working order with the exception of conferences. I know that the status page warning “No Conference Room App” is a bug, as the confbridge module is built and installed and functions to a degree - I can call the conference room and if I enter an incorrect pin I’m told so, as expected, but if I enter a correct pin it hangs up.

I’ve pasted a trace below - any ideas? (I’m not sure if this is a FreePBX or Asterisk issue) - it seems to suggest that it thinks that the conference room is already full; although there’s more mention of meetme than I’m comfortable with - I’ve no meetme installed at all, as the platform I’m running on cannot run Dahdi (easily).

1- I think the issue not showing a conference is the change in Asterisk 11 from 10 with app_conference. They rewrote the whole thing between Asterisk 10 and 11.

2- This would be a bug in Asterisk from what the logs show but I can not guarantee that. I will try and get sometime this week to dig into this.

Stupid question but do you have app_confbridge selected in Advanced settings? It seems to default to app_meetme right now even if it’s not installed.

The status page warning will eventually disappear but I haven’t quite figured out what get’s rid of that. I think you have to switch to app_meetme then back to app_confbridge then amportal restart and maybe a freepbx reload as well.

Thanks for the suggestion - it’s definitely set to app_confbridge. Even if I change it and back again and restart everything it’s the same. I think Tony’s on the right track, most likely an issue with how Asterisk 11.3 has changed from previous versions.

Hi Tony,

I’m inclined to agree; I installed the Asterisk Info add-on and from the conference section it returns errors as the commands being used do not exist on 11.3. I’ll wait and see if you find anything later in the week, and I’ll get a ticket going for Asterisk if needs be.

Best,

Colin

Hi Tony,

Having raised the issue with Asterisk, they’ve suggested that FreePBX raise a fault ticket with them regarding the new confbridge:

http://forums.asterisk.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=86640&start=0

I think at this point I’ll take a back seat and wait for everything to work again lol

Best,

Colin
