Hi there,
I’m having trouble to forward the caller ID from external . When closed, the call is going to an IVR which , when pressing one(1) forwards you to my cellphone. All I want is to see the caller ID from the caller and not my company number, can you help me out here ? I asked my provider to turn that option on, so now I have to configure it on Freepbx and I don`t know where to start.
Regards Harry
No answer for this issue? I’m struggeling with the same problem.
Hi!
There can be more than one reasons for that problem…
- You might have forced the CID on your route/trunks.
- Your provider might block you from using a CID you don’t own and are forcing you to use yours.
and there are probably others I am not thinking of at this time…
Look at your routes and trunks and ask your provider if they are the ones forcing you to use a specific DID…
Good luck and have a nice day!
Nick
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your reply. This should be my provider. I’m gonna ask him next week.
Thanks again.

Ed.
Hi!
No problem…
There is also the possibility that you (or someone who works or worked with you) forced it in your provider setup screens…
A good example of this is VoIP.ms… You can provide a caller ID in your account or subaccount configurations for when you use them with an ATA adapter…
If you use a PBX, you must not provide them with a caller ID in your account/subaccount configuration, if you do it will overwrite the one your PBX wanted to provide…
There are other providers (didlogic comes to mind) for which you must fill in papers for them to unblock you from providing your own caller ID information…
Good luck and have a nice day!
Nick
