Forward caller id to pc of phone extension for program automation

I want to accept an inbound call, grab the caller id, and perform two functions:

  1. Transfer the call to an extension
  2. Utilize the caller id to look up the account of the caller for the rep answering the extension in #1. This could be a simple get or html post call to a browser.

Is there a formal name for this type of automation and can Freepbx do this? TY

Yes, Ithe iSymphony desktop application will pop a URL on inbound calls. Licenses available in the FreePBX store

Caller ID Superfecta can be configured to execute a URL which includes CID/CNAM.
