I’ve installed trixbox and I’ve seen the freePBX flash operator panel.
I’ve seen that in this panel are displayed a lot of information, which are always updated.
Could you please tell me how this is obtained?
Asterisk throw some events and freePBX catches them, or freePBX periodically interrogate Asterisk?

Flash Operator Panel runs a daemon (op_server.pl) I believe is the name of the perl script…
Basically op_server connects to Asterisk Manager Interface (AMI), AMI outputs all the events happening on Asterisk which then in turn writes to a file called something like variables.txt which is read by the flash part of FOP.
I think that sums it up more or less…
