Follow me and CallerID

Hi all,

I’m using the follow me option to forward calls to my cell phone. When calls are forwarded this way they are dialed out through a sip provider with the callerid of the original caller. As my sip provider does not allow me to use a callerid a don’t own “Anonymous” is displayed on my cell phone.

Is there a way to use the outbound cid of my extension which was called when forwarding calls to external destinations?

you can use the outbound trunk cid, read the tooltip for the ‘Never Override CID’ box on the trunk.

Thanks for your answer. That’s working perfectly!
One small thing left: With this method I can only set a default callerid and not the original callerid of my called extension.

But for me it is enough.
