Flite not working in 1.812.210.58-1 x86_64

Hey all! I’m trying to get flite up and running on a FreePBX Distro x86_64 installation, and having some trouble. I have looked at this discussion:

http://www.freepbx.org/forum/freepbx-distro/distro-discussion-help/flite-does-not-work-after-upgrade-of-1-810-210-57-1

In which i386 support appears to have gotten a fix, but I’ve made sure I’m all up-to-date and still no joy. My installed flite packages look like:

Installed Packages
asterisk18-flite.x86_64 1.8.12.0-28 installed
asterisk18-flite-debuginfo.x86_64 1.8.12.0-28 installed
flite.x86_64 1.3-11.el5 installed
flite-devel.x86_64 1.3-11.el5 installed

When I manually try to force app_flite to load in modules.conf, I get the following errors in my logs:

[2012-06-07 16:40:38] WARNING[3266] loader.c: Module ‘app_flite.so’ was not compiled with the same compile-time options as this version of Asterisk.
[2012-06-07 16:40:38] WARNING[3266] loader.c: Module ‘app_flite.so’ will not be initialized as it may cause instability.
[2012-06-07 16:40:38] WARNING[3266] loader.c: Module ‘app_flite.so’ could not be loaded.

Is it possible that a fix that was applied to the i386 version also needs to be applied to x86_64? I’m happy to try out fixes and provide more details if needed, please let me know!

Thanks,
Tim Wilde

Try a yum update asterisk* than restart asterisk when done.

Sweet, whatever you updated appears to have done the trick, thanks!
