Running the new 17 Distro on AWS. All ports needed are open and all IP addresses from Skyetel are whitelisted. Using the SMS Connector from Bill Simon and team, thanks guys! At first start up SMS flowing like a dream, after about 15 minutes, I get an error from Skyetel that it can no longer connect. Checked Fail2Ban- nothing there, checked the logs- nothing there either. Disabled the FreePBX firewall and SMS is working just fine.
Hi,
Do you have documentation or a support ticket that lists these?
Bill they have them here:
Skyetel IPs
With the firewall disabled, receive SMS from Skyetel and then look at the http server logs (/var/log/apache2/other_vhosts_access.log) for the POST /smsconn/provider.php?provider=skyetel
to see what IP address it came from. Most likely it came from an IP that was not in their list. If it is in the list you received, double check that you entered it correctly into the firewall.
@billsimon It did indeed come from a whitelisted IP address.
Found the issue: Adding that IP address (52.14.37.123) to the custom Whitelist under the Intrusion Detection tab of the Responsive Firewall page will not work. You must add it to the Known Networks tab and exclude it from the firewall.
