Firewall wizard stalls with error: Could not get banned list File:/var/www/html/admin/modules/sysadmin/Sysadmin.class.php

Hello,

I have a FreePBX server that was upgraded from FreePBX 10.13.66
PBX Version: 15.0.17.24
PBX Distro: 12.7.6-1904-1.sng7
Asterisk Version: 13.22.0

All modules and packages are up to date.

If I enable the updated Firewall module, the wizard starts in the GUI, but fails with the error:
Could not get banned list File:/var/www/html/admin/modules/sysadmin/Sysadmin.class.php

other issues for full disclosure, but maybe not related:

  • Asterisk (DPMA) SSL Certificate Expiration - An outdated version of the Asterisk DPMA module was detected (v3.5.0) (I couldn’t get this resolved)
  • The Dashboard summary always shows Asterisk has been running for less than 10 minutes.
