I’ve had a request to provide access to a softphone client for our schools new FreePBX system.
I’ve been testing the Free Linphone client, and it works - but all of our phones were provisioned with Endpoint manager and have a really long secret - is it possible to just use the phones credentials for the softphone, or does it have to be a separate extension?
Also, our phone system’s hosted server is behind a restrictive firewall - access to the PBX requires you be onsite or on a VPN - is there any way we can install a certificate to allow access to softphones from outside our network?
