Feature Request: Choose outbound route from within extension settings

First off, you guys ROCK!

It would be REALLY awesome to be able to choose exactly which trunk each extension uses by default, without depending exclusively on dial patterns.

So if you have 10 trunks with their own associated DIDs, and 10 extensions – you could just map each extension directly to a specific trunk from inside the extension settings so it’s dialplan agnostic – It just uses the trunk assigned in extension settings.

Right now I’m using some pretty creative dial patters to achieve the same result, but it would be a luxury to just map it with a dropdown.

You need to read the documentation for the outbound route module. You can map to an extension. That is what the CID field is for. No creative dial plan needed.
