What about a feature that would allow a special message to be played whenever a call came in on preselected inbound routes? This message could be enabled or disabled and changed at will. The message would be played before the inbound route proceeds with normal call flow.
We just had an incident that involved a malfunction at the City’s water treatment plant and the resultant loss of water pressure. I wanted to put a message out on lines the public was likely to call with information on this. I was able to modify several inbound routes individually and link them to the same system recording, but it would be helpful to be able to automate this a bit more.
In any case…even doing it manually, got information out to the people and saved our skeleton holiday weekend staff from having to answer literally hundreds of phone calls!
Once again FreePBX came through!
