I use ssmtp and a gmail account to do my voicemail to email and it works great.
I recently tried to do fax to email using the latest Free Fax For Asterisk and I guess it doesn’t like ssmtp as the MTA,…because it doesn’t work. Has anyone got fax to email working with ssmtp?
What were the steps/settings?
I am using FreePBX 2.7.x updated to the latest
AND Asterisk 1.6.2.6
My ssmtp.conf is as follows,…It works perfectly for VoiceMail to Email
FromLineOverride=YES
root=MyGmailName
mailhub:587=smtp.gmail.com
rewriteDomain=
hostname:587=smtp.gmail.com
UseSTARTTLS=YES
AuthUser=MyGmailName
AuthPass=MyPassword
FromLineOverride=YES
Anybody know why FaxToEmail doesn’t like it??
