Fax arrives, resulting pdf arrives in email several hrs later

I’ve received two faxes and since setting up my system and both of them have arrived in my email inbox SEVERAL hours later.

And it’s not simply a matter of the sender delaying having them sent – I sent both myself. In both instances, I walked away from the sending fax with confirmation that it had successfully been sent.

What can I do to have the pdf file sent sooner?

Sounds like a email relay issue. I would start by looking in postfix mail logs.

Thanks for the reply. I don’t have postfix. I installed SSMTP and configured it to send using my gmail account. I’ll have to hunt down the location of the logs.
