Right. If it could also be configured for an alternate then if not successful on primary, secondary could be checked. When relying on an outside service and having no control for address resolution, it is good to have a backup.
The Asterisk config is the critical item needing backup source. Although, I think there are multiple ways to ascertain the outside IP address. DDNS domain name service is not the only way. Am I correct?
