Hello All, i have the FreePBX 17 running on local server behind NAT and local extensions work perfectly but external extensions seems to work right for a few minutes and then hang up call after 5/6 minutes randomly. Do you have any idea of what’s happening?
Not sure that anyone will be able to give you an answer without some sort of log showing the drop. Either asterisk log or a PCAP might be helpful.
The only other thing to check would be to make sure that SIP ALG is disabled on the firewall that’s doing the NAT on both sides of the conversation.
Thanks Dobrosavljevic, both houses have routers very restrict from network provider, probably have SIP ALG active, we are not sure. Is there some way we can set the server to overcome this problem?
I was thinking if enabling TLS or setting STUN server can help?
Your guess is as good as mine without some specific logs that point at the issue, you’ll need to test things for your unique situation until you find the thing that will work within your environment.
