For a bit of time I had been using a softphone for my extensions while testing out the system. I recently purchased a Polycom phone. Now whenever I try to make any changes to an extensions that is linked to a hard phone I get an interesting result. Instead of resulting in the orange bar on the top I just get a white page with nothing on it at all. I am running FreePBX 2.8.1. I am pretty new to PBX systems so I don’t know what additional details should be provided. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like a permission issue.
You could try looking at the httpd error log in /var/log/httpd/
I’ll bet it has some telling info. Also, you might want to provide a little more about how this system was built. By hand or with an ISO ?
I used the incredible pbx install on top of centos…the problem doesn’t happen when an extension does NOT have a hard-phone attached to it…just when one is attached to it.
The GUI is not typically concerned if a phone or other device is connected. The only issue I can think of is if Fail2ban is running and you a device with the wrong password trying to reg… it will get blocked eventually.
So, mr doubtful… did you check the httpd log ?
