Ext to Ext, Problem... HELP! PLS

I have setup a new server with the latest release of Trixbox 1.2, I installed the software, setup six extensions, a telasip trunk, and I have exactly the same problem.

I can call outbound no problem, I can call inbound no problem, I have even added a softphone to make sure the problem was not related to the Grandstream phones.

All calls terminate properly, coming from the telasip connection. If I place a call from Ext. 201 to Ext. 202, the call rings, I pick up the phone, carry on a conversation, hang up the phone, the light on the phone goes out and the phone can be picked up and dialed again. The problem arises when someone else tries to call that ext. The phone is on hook, and the caller finds theirself with the person you have dialed is on the phone, or busy signal.

I go into FOP (flash operator panel) disconnect the two lines or which ever lines are showing in service and the phone call can be completed.

I have this system ready to be put in service, but I cannot do that until the ext problem is corrected.

I have searched hi and low for a solution.

If other people are selling PBX systems with Grandstream phones, they must be working or else they would not have a product to sell. My system is for my own company, so I really need to get it working.

Also I have it on an older version of Trixbox, with the same problem…

The phones are GXP2000’s, if that makes a difference.

Thanks

Install the call waiting module which will add 2 codes under the feature
codes section to enable and disable call waiting. You may need to change
the call waiting codes to something that your phone wont intercept. I
changed mine to 70* instead of *70. The phone will then take as many calls
as it physically can.

That is a solution. It works. What are the long term effects of this solution.

Can I program the phone to enable that option everytime it boots?

Something else to note. I can add two new extensions, reboot the PBX, and it will call, carry on conversation, hand up, and clear the line, the very first time you do this. The next call will freeze the lines and show them in use. Is that weird or what?
