EXP100 Won't firmware update

The phone says it has version 2.0.4.8 on it, but the firmware on the EXP100 is 2.0.4.6. I need the update because the screen is so dim it’s unusable.

I tried downgrading the firmware on the phone so that it has EXP100 firmware 2.0.4.7, but the phone just ignored the update in the endpoint manager because it already has a newer version.

How can I force the firmware update with the EXP100?

There’s another user who reported a similar if not the same issue.
