Email or SMS alert when caller hungs up

Hi all,

I need some help whith this case.

Ia have a custom dialpplan for emails and sms alerts that works ok. When a call is not answered on an extension, “Optional Destination” feature is configured to send call to a “custom destination”. This is awesome and it works :wink:

But, I need to find a method to send an alert when caller hangs up before the call is answered or sent to another destination. I mean, only alerts whit text like “Someone hung up a call during the ringing”.

Any idea please?


You can use a hangup handler to do this, either by routing the call thru a Custom Destination or by using a dialplan hook: Hooking for fun and income. You can use the DIALSTATUS variable to determine if the call was answered or not.
