Email Notification

Looking for a way to perform the following:

I have DID(s) that are forwarded to external numbers. i would like to be able to track each incoming call to a DID by sending an email to the user of the DID informing him of call received on your DID. How’s that achieved?

why would someone need an email telling him that he just received a call?

Everything is possible but for something like this you would need to write yourself a custom dial plan. It’s not something that could be done via the FreePBX GUI.

I can think of two ways of doing this. Caller ID Superfecta can be used to send an email on any inbound call, and you can filter by DID to send a different email for each. There is also a recent blog post here that has some more detailed options for sending email notices.
