Does FreePBX work with Asterisk realtime?

I guess this question has been asked a lot of times, but does FreePBX work with Asterisk Realtime, or are the plans to make it so?

The answers to this question go some way back and I’d like to know if things have changed in the meantime.

FreePBX does not use Asterisk realtime, and there is no plan to use it in Freepbx.
