a client currently uses an Avaya IP office phone system (with 9650 phones). They have 100 incoming DDIs and each has a very simple description (e.g. W LON) which the call handler uses to determine which greeting they should say. In a cost cutting exercise I am looking to set up a cloud based phone system for them that functions in a similar way.
In IP Office, this is done by creating 100 hunt groups each with a description that instantly forward to a proper hunt group that extensions log in to.
Is similar functionality available in FreePBX? The closest thing I’ve seen so far is a mention of a module called Set CallerID which I would use to prefix the description to the start of the CLID.
