Disable Updates

I have customized a version of freepbx and its modules to suite my needs. But the updae checking disables those modules and messes it up. Is there any way to cancel these update checks? I’m using freepbx 2.11 on asterisk 11

admin>sysadmin>updates.

Some updates should be completed for security reasons and others as dependencies. We always recommend being up to date. What are your customizations? Maybe there is a way to do them so they persist and don’t break on update.

I was not able to find admin>sysadmin>updates option in my menu.
My customization includes many changes in the existing core module, user panel, parking module etc.

admin>sysadmin>updates is a Sysadmin Pro feature.

Are you running FreePBX Distro or hand built system?

I’m running a freepbx distro, installed using the script in http://wiki.freepbx.org/display/FD/Converting+Stock+Centos+to+a+FreePBX+Distro. My customized modules are automatically disabled. Can it be due to the md5sum? Or is it due to the automatic update. What can I do to solve this?

There are no distro controlled auto updates outside of the sysadmin module.

Note some components will update via RPM if you are running yum update.
