A sip registration password is different than a gui password.
This has already been fixed, fyi. its a setting in advanced settings
Another reason why you wouldn’t sip secrets is if you use OpenSIPS in front of asterisk for authentication and load balancing.
I just upgraded to the newest version of 2.11. What’ the name of the variable in advanced settings?
Sorry I misspoke. It’s not an advanced setting it is just fixed. It will allow you to enter a blank secret and not auto generate one for you when you go to edit.
You’re absolutely right. I’ll still poke around the code and see if I can comment out the section that creates the secrets in the first place. Thanks!
