Delete call recordings

I have the need to record all calls but delete them after a specified amount of time. I have seen the other topic regarding this and am familiar with the process but I’m curious if there are any database entries that correspond with call recordings much like there are for faxes.

I’d prefer not to have orphaned database entries.

Also I’m curious if there is a way to distinguish between manual recordings (those initiated via the feature code within a call) and automatic recordings.
