In our IVR menu there is a choice for After-hours emergency. I need a way to enter a different cell phone number whenever necessary so this menu choice will then dial that cell phone. Can this be done by defining some macro via FreePBX that we could reference in a Dial() command?

why not create a extension and point to that then use forwarding to the Cell number desired. That way you can program the extension with the cell number on a phone on the way out the door every night?

Sure you can, the option is called call forward. Basicly it attempts to use the extension but then see’s that it is forwarded so instead of ringing that extension it dials the forwarding number instead.
I use this when I need to work off site at our Data center for the day. I program my extensioh to call my cell. That way people internal and external still dial the same number to get me and I’m in control of it.
