Deactivate DAHDI-channel

Hi,

we use a 4 channel ISDN-Interface (Beronet BN4S0) but only 3 channels are connected. Is there a way to deactivate the 4th channel to prevent unnecessary log messages:

chan_dahdi.c: Detected alarm on channel 7: Red Alarm chan_dahdi.c: Detected alarm on channel 8: Red Alarm ...

You would normally disable the interface in /etc/dahdi/system.conf (comment it out).

If you use any dahdi helper module that controls that file, then you should consult that documentation.

I’m using the default freepbx Dahdi config module from Schmoozecom (2.11.32).
I think when I modify this file manually it won’t have any effect as it will be rewritten automatically.

I guess you missed my:-

(research your subject well before thinking  )

Not quite a default, I belives it comes with advises and cautions you must accept before you should enable it.

Said user could uninstall the module at this point and then make the changes manually. The files won’t be overwritten
